Our Client: The Office @ SW15

The client operates an up-market co-working space in South West London. They acquired existing office space and renovated it to function as a co-working space with the associated security and access control challenges that entails. The space is used by individuals and small business start-up operations.

The client wanted to retain the existing access control solution, but expand on it to incorporate a new FastLane speed gate to create a slick and seamless access and egress solution for customers.

The job entailed the commissioning of pedestrian ‘speed gates’ to create a fully controlled ‘read in, read out’ access control system to track and monitor everyone entering the premises.

Securus Solution

Securus were able to advise the client on how to adapt the existing Paxton Net2 system, integrating existing and new equipment to provide a completely new and bespoke access control solution for the client’s business operations. All systems were designed with ease of use in mind for those individuals accessing the building as their work place.

The primary entrance door was also fitted with enhanced security, linking the Paxton Net2 system to an Assa Abloy EL460 Solenoid Lock. The door was fitted with a hydraulic closure system for additional security.

All doors are secured with systems designed to manage power failure scenarios and additional security features (locks) for when required.

Additionally, new Hikvision 8 MP AcuSense Fixed mini Dome Network Cameras were installed for an extra layer of security and for their highly discrete appearance in this environment.

Outcome

Securus were able to guide the client from the outset of the work to redesign the office space. Our knowledge and expertise as a Paxton Gold Registered Installer allowed us to provide them with guidance on which elements of the system could be efficiently repurposed and reused.

The client now has a fully operational access control system, linked to a CCTV camera system for additional security.

All work was carried out in accordance with the relevant Codes of Practice – “SSAIB CoP SS2003 CCTV Code of Practice” and “SSAIB CoP Access Control Code of Practice”.

Testimonial

We were looking for a company to help us make some upgrades to our Paxton access control system. The whole team at Securus have been amazing from start to finish and managed to find us perfect solutions to some difficult problems. The whole team have gone over and above and we ended up extending the scope of work and also asking them to add 24 hour access and CCTV which were delivered perfectly.

I would not hesitate to recommend Securus to anyone looking for access control systems.
