Our client operates a business park with multiple buildings, providing office space for small business users. The business park is designed to be highly flexible, so that it can be adapted to meet the needs of a regularly changing set of users.
The client needed to update an old access control system, replacing it with a modern, flexible and scalable solution that could easily and quickly be adapted if they needed to change internal configurations for new clients. Our client also required the ability to provide individual tenants with their own secure access control, managed through a single master system. This entailed having multiple user groups, each with access to specific private and public areas of the overall site.
A digital audio intercom system to the main entrance doors, with a digital calling system to each internal office space was also required.
The client approach Securus to assist with the design and installation of a suitable system, one that would suit their current and future needs, based on expected growth.
Our initial site survey identified the need for an access control system that would be highly flexible and scalable for the client, with the ability to create and manage multiple zones and quickly add or remove individual access credentials. We recommended a Paxton Net2 system, which has the ability to deliver everything the client required.
We installed Paxton P50 compact proximity readers to manage door entry, connected to Slimline magnetic Maglocks, with internal ‘request to exit’ buttons and an emergency over-ride solution for safety. The system is controlled via a Paxton Net2 control panel with battery back up.
A 5-way BPT Audio Door Entry system with searchable LCD screens provides the client with the ability to communicate with tenants in each individual office space.
The client has a highly flexible and scalable security and access control system that allows it to provide its tenants with ease of access and peace of mind from a centrally managed security solution. Securus UK continue to provide the client with support moving and adding access control points as the needs of their tenants changes.
Our client has also chosen to take out a Securus UK Enhanced Care Plan, which provides annual preventative maintenance visits, technical phone support if required and included labour and call-out costs in the event of any system issues for equipment outside of the manufacturer warranties.
